Most drivers used a Medium – Medium – Hard tire strategy, and this strategy was the right choice. In terms of wear, the tires performed well, and the performance was good.
« Regarding Heikki Kovalainen, we do not believe that the accident was caused by a tire failure. As is the case every time, we are conducting a thorough investigation with the McLaren team. We are glad that Kovalainen apparently has no serious injuries. »
