Red Bull Review – 4 points scored and 6th place in the constructors’ standings

Good weekend for the Red Bull team as there were no retirements to report and Webber crossed the checkered flag in 5th position just behind the championship leaders. The Australian was never troubled and managed to maintain a rather good pace.

As for his teammate, David Coulthard, things proved to be much more complicated, finishing second-to-last in a race marked, it’s true, by 9 retirements. The Scotsman almost became the 10th…

Mark Webber – 5th:

« I am very, very happy. The team worked very hard after the trials and qualifications to ensure all the parts were ready on time. The work paid off. »

« We didn’t get off to a good start today, but we had a good pace that allowed us to achieve this good result. I didn’t have perfect control of my car at the end of the race, but we weren’t under pressure at that time. I am satisfied with my race. »

David Coulthard – 12th:

« It’s terrible to finish almost last in a race. The situation has never been easy. I was slightly involved in the early race accident between Sutil and Vettel but after that I was able to drive quite well. »

« After my stop, I was therefore heavier and at turns 4 and 5 Glock came and hit the back of my car and as a result, I had a puncture. »

Christian Horner – Director

« It was an excellent race for Mark and we are very happy with this fifth place. For David, the nightmare that started yesterday in qualifying continued. He could have gone for 1 or 2 points at one point during the race, but unfortunately things were cut short with these small incidents. I am sure luck will soon return for him. »

Fabrice Lom – Renault Engine Engineer

«This is a very good result for us, fifth place is honorable. We have taken a step forward in terms of performance and we were faster than Williams and Toyota today. »

« For David, the situation is more difficult but he will get over it. There are days like that when nothing goes right! »
