Summary – Friday – Honda is struggling

Like other teams, Honda struggled today to adapt to the conditions on the track. These have changed significantly compared to those during last week’s private testing.

The Japanese team thus stumbled at this level, with the best time achieved by Button in the morning with a 10th place. However, in the afternoon, neither of the two drivers managed to do better than a 15th place…

Jenson Button – 10th and 15th

« It’s good to have done some laps today with the new updates on the car. We haven’t found the best setup yet because the balance was tricky, but I’m confident we’ll find the necessary improvements tomorrow. »

« After last week’s tests, our goals are to participate in the final phase of the qualifications and finish the race in the top ten. That’s what we achieved in Bahrain and considering the improvements made to the car, I hope we can do it again. »

Rubens Barrichello – 18th and 17th

« We had a difficult day and the main challenge was adapting to these new conditions compared to last week’s private testing. We therefore had to work on the setup to regain the good feelings from the tests. »
