Hartley, test driver for Scuderia Toro Rosso?

Scuderia Toro Rosso has announced that it might once again call upon the British Formula 3 driver, Brendon Hartley, for future testing of its new single-seater. The team confirmed that it tested the STR3 last week at Vairano in Italy.

Hartley therefore took part in these tests of the Toro Rosso STR3. The next stage is Barcelona, at the end of the month for the Spanish Grand Prix.

The co-owner of the small Scuderia, Gerhard Berger, admitted that his team would be happy to call on Hartley again.

« Our two other drivers were not available last week, and since Brendon Hartley is part of the Red Bull family, we decided to put him in the car, » he stated.

« If there is a possibility of trials for him, then yes, we will call upon his services again. But there is no real test plan at the moment. »

Hartley commented on his official website that he was delighted with his latest tests.

« The tests with Toro Rosso were a confidential development for a single-seater that has not yet been publicly launched. »

« What I can say is that it was a real privilege to participate in these tests for the first time in my career. The sensations and performances were incredible. The levels of grip and acceleration were quite amazing. »
