Rockenfeller finishes in style!

Mike Rockenfeller is the author of the best lap on the last day of testing at Oschersleben. This was the final event for teams preparing for the 2008 season. The official presentation of the teams and their drivers takes place on Sunday, and the first race is on April 13.

Rockenfeller achieved a time of 1’22″305 during one of his 118 laps completed on Day 3.

The German from Audi is closely followed by a serious contender for the final title in the person of Bruno Spengler. He was three-tenths slower in his Mercedes C-Class.

Martin Tomczyk and Alexandre Prémat, two Audi drivers, finished very close to the leading duo. The former was only five thousandths of a second slower than Spengler.

Christijan Albers completed his second day of testing with the TME/Futurecom team, achieving the 9th best time of the day.

Even though rumors suggest a contract between the Dutch driver and the team, the former DTM runner-up denies that the deal has already been concluded.

« I haven’t signed anything yet. I hope we will finalize the contract on Friday or Saturday, » said Albers.

At the same time, Audi remains silent on this subject. During a photo shoot, two were taken. One with the declared drivers and the other with Christijan Albers.
