Silverstone will inaugurate a new grandstand with 2,200 seats to meet the growing demand from fans. Indeed, this year many more tickets have been sold for the upcoming British Grand Prix.

In addition to constructing new seats for race day, Silverstone has introduced a Saturday ticket that will allow access to the grandstands.

« The interest in the 2008 British Grand Prix is extraordinary, and we are compelled to build new grandstands to accommodate the numerous fans, » said Richard Phillips, Managing Director of the Silverstone circuit.

Tickets for race day, which is Sunday, are almost all sold out. Fans are now forced to turn to Friday and Saturday.

« Last year, qualifying was one of the highlights of the weekend. Tickets were available starting from 69 pounds. Saturday is an unforgettable day after the race to get as close as possible to the excitement that Formula 1 can offer. »
