Summary – Friday – Fisichella for Force India surprises again!

The Australian dream did not come true last week for the Indian team, Force India. But the Malaysian dream might be more achievable…

In any case, Fisichella repeats his performance in the second practice session by making it into the top 10. A performance for a team that was recently bought out. Admittedly, the morning was more challenging, but it takes some time to adapt to the new Sepang circuit.

Sutil was, however, behind all day and even had to endure an engine failure in the morning. If Force India wants to hope for this Malaysian dream to come true, they will need to do better than they did 7 days ago regarding the qualifying.

Adrian Sutil – 22nd and 18th:

This morning, we had a problem with the engine, then the second session in the afternoon wasn’t so bad. Once again, we had issues with the tires. I don’t know if it was the car or the pressure. We need to look into this problem and improve from this perspective for tomorrow because I’m not very satisfied with this day of testing.

Giancarlo Fisichella – 19th and 9th:

We made great progress between the morning and the afternoon. This morning, there was a lot of oversteer and understeer, the situation was sometimes really incomprehensible, but we made a big step forward.

In the afternoon, the car was more consistent and more comfortable. Unfortunately, when I was on my fast lap, Glock was in front of me and I had to lose three-tenths. It’s not acceptable, but fortunately, it wasn’t the qualifying session.

« A good day. A difficult first session with very little grip, and both cars suffered from oversteer and finally an engine failure on Adrian’s car. For him, his program was limited. However, we were able to analyze the reasons for this failure during the break and it improved in the second session. »

« We have collected all the data we needed. Once again, we prove that we have a competitive car in this middle of the grid. We just need to have good tests tomorrow morning to reassure ourselves for the afternoon. »
