The director of the McLaren-Mercedes Formula 1 team, Ron Dennis, finally announced his presence at the Malaysian Grand Prix, despite his announcement earlier in the week.
The Briton had indeed explained a few days ago that he could not go to Malaysia due to family matters.
The press quickly seized on the matter, mixing it with the latest rumors suspecting him of wanting to leave F1.
Ron Dennis had then commented: « Don’t worry, just because I’m not going to one race doesn’t mean I won’t be present at all the others. Stop jumping to conclusions about everything! »
Following the family issues that were resolved faster than expected, Dennis has finally announced that he will be present at the circuit starting Saturday morning to support and oversee his team.
