Malaysian GP – Honda is on the right track!

He lacked luck at the Honda Racing team to score his first points right from the season opener in Australia. The result may not be there, but the manner certainly does not betray the unwavering determination displayed by the team.

In Malaysia, where the conditions could be somewhat similar to those in Australia, the Honda riders might once again make a name for themselves, and this time points are the expected reward.

Jenson Button – racing driver.

« I am delighted to be in Malaysia. Obviously, I couldn’t compete against the others in Australia because I had an accident on my first lap, but I am confident for this week. We improved the car over the weekend. The situation is proving to be very tight in the midfield. We all hope to achieve a good result in the race. »

The race will be difficult. The temperatures don’t scare me, it’s the humidity level. It’s one thing to have hot air, but humid heat is something else.

Rubens Barrichello – racing driver

We knew we had taken a step forward during our last pre-season test in Jerez. What we didn’t know was our position compared to the other teams. I am more than motivated by this start to the season. I want to thank everyone in Japan and the UK for their work done on the car over the past few weeks.

« The most important factor is having good aerodynamic balance, which is something we have been able to improve for the start of the season. Hopefully, this will help us regroup for Malaysia. »

« If the result was disappointing in Australia, we must, however, look at the positive aspects. The qualifications confirmed that we are in the middle of the grid, and a very good race from Rubens showed that we have the potential to fight for points. »

« It is pleasing to see that the aerodynamic package implemented in Jerez is working. I think we can achieve a weekend similar to the one we had in Melbourne. We have shown that we have a car capable of targeting points, and our two drivers are more than determined to achieve this goal. »
