The current FIA president, Max Mosley, stated that it was still uncertain whether he would pursue a fifth term at the head of the motorsport organization.
Mosley took the helm of the FIA in 1991, and his current contract will expire in 2009.
The Briton remains evasive about his future but stated that he would stay if asked.
« I don’t know. When you’re asked to stay on, you keep this in the back of your mind, » commented Mosley in an interview for Gazzetta dello Sport.
Mosley also admitted that he would like to see a completely different Grand Prix organization in the future…
« My dream would be to see a Formula 1 where the drivers, within a team, participate in every other race because there, we could really see who is the strongest. »
