Nakajima penalized at the next Grand Prix, in Malaysia!

Kazuki Nakajima was penalized by the track stewards at the end of the first Grand Prix of the season in Melbourne, Australia.

The young Williams driver collided with BMW driver Robert Kubica in the final laps of the race. While both were behind the safety car, Nakajima braked too late at turn 8, hitting the rear of the Pole, who was in second position and had been leading a race for the top 5 until then.

Nakajima, upon returning to the pits, changed his front wing and was able to continue while Kubica was forced to retire. For these reasons, the Japanese driver was penalized 10 places on the next starting grid.

This penalty will therefore apply during the qualifications next week in Malaysia at the Sepang circuit.
