Talks between the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) and Bernie Ecclestone, the Formula 1 boss, to revive the United States Grand Prix have begun.
Tony George, the owner of the circuit, spoke this week in front of an audience at a conference in Indiana. His goal was to convince and re-establish a trusting relationship with the F1 executive for the circuit’s centennial celebrations in 2009.
The American broadcaster Speed TV also revealed that Just Marketing, a local company, was hired to help Indianapolis find an official sponsor.
Zak Brown from Just Marketing stated that President George and Ecclestone share a keen interest in reintegrating this event into the official calendar as soon as possible.
