Super-Aguri is confident about the successful progression of the next season, even though there is still no official information on how the discussions are progressing with potential investors.
The team powered by Honda had to face a difficult winter, notably with financial problems forcing them to severely limit their pre-season testing.
The team owner, Aguri Suzuki, is in Japan for these famous talks with Honda executives to redefine the future of his team.
Certain sources indicate that a British group, led by the consulting firm Magma Group, is one of the contenders present at the negotiation table. A Japanese investor is also in the running and reportedly has Suzuki’s favor.
The team continues its preparations for the first race of the season in Australia, and General Manager Daniel Audetto commented on this occasion: “Everything is progressing in the right direction,” he stated.
« The team is preparing the SA-08A to be ready for the Australian Grand Prix. »
« The engineers work day and night, as it has become a tradition at Super-Aguri in its short but exciting existence. »
Audetto explained earlier this week to Autosprint that a decision was becoming urgent to secure their future as the cars are starting to leave for Australia.
« The situation is difficult, but we are confident, » he explained to the Italian magazine.
« At the moment, the negotiation for our acquisition by a publicly listed company should be defined. »
« This would allow us to have the necessary resources to face a season that promises to be challenging. Everything should be defined in the coming days. »
