« The new A4 has already won numerous international awards. We are convinced that the new Audi A4 is an excellent car for our success in DTM, » said Ullrich.
The recent champion Mattias Ekström was also present in Geneva and commented on the new car:
« If the new A4 is as fast as it predicts, then I will be satisfied, » said the Swede.
The first prototype of the R14 was tested shortly before Christmas on the Circuit du Castellet in France. Before its first race on April 13 in Hockenheim, the new Audi A4 will have completed several thousand kilometers of testing, including endurance tests.
According to Audi, the differences between the new R14 and the old R13 single-seater are numerous. The center of gravity has been lowered, among other things, and the engine has been improved with more power.
The new A4 will be officially seen on the track for the first time at Mugello during the first DTM event between March 10 and 12.
