It seems that Maro Engel would take one of the last available spots in the Mercedes team in DTM.

Engel participated last year in the British Formula 3. His arrival at the German team should be officialized in a few days.

The latest rumors that Engel would exercise his race car driving talents in the IFM series are therefore denied.

If Engel joins Mercedes, it is highly likely that he will drive a 2007 specification car.

The other drivers for this same type of car for the 2008 season are Ralf Schumacher, Gary Paffett, Mathias Lauda, and Susie Stoddart.
