Priaulx is not the favorite this season… according to him!

Andy Priaulx, who drives a BMW 320si in the WTCC championship, has expressed confidence for the season starting this weekend, but does not believe he is the favorite for 2008!

The Briton has won the last three world driver titles, each time beating the second by less than 10 points. The Englishman fights until the end of the seasons and will have to do the same work in 2008, starting this weekend in Curitiba (Brazil) where the championship begins.

« I have as much of a chance mathematically at this stage to win the title as the other drivers… » declared the BMW driver. « We start from scratch every new season! »

The team and I have worked very hard all winter to progress, improve, and be better this season. But this is also true for all the other teams in the championship. It is only after the two races in Curitiba that we will really see if the work has paid off.

The first round starts today with practice sessions. The qualifications will take place tomorrow and the two races on Sunday.
