N.Technology team announced this morning that they will not be able to participate in the first race of the 2008 WTCC – World Touring Car Championship season.
N.Technology was equipped with Alfa Romeo 156 last year. After the withdrawal of the Italian brand due to a strategic choice, N.Technology finally decided to race this season with Honda Accord Euro R.
The team has had Honda for only a month, but after their first test held on February 7th in Valencia, the officials announced that they will not be able to travel to Curitiba this weekend for the first round of the WTCC season in Brazil.
The time used to test the new Honda is indeed too short to allow for the optimal development of the touring car. According to the website, it is not yet ready to participate in a full race weekend.
Their only driver James Thompson, already with the team last year, should only be able to participate in this new season on April 5th and 6th for the second meeting in Mexico, in Puebla.
