After recently breaking Matthew Wilson’s record as the youngest driver to score points in a World Championship round, during the last rally in Sweden, the young Norwegian has just broken a second one this weekend.
Indeed, Andreas has become, at just 18 years old, the youngest driver to win a round of the Norwegian Rally Championship. Beyond his young age, this victory is an achievement since his compatriot Mads Ostberg had dominated this rally for nine consecutive years!
« I am thrilled! » exclaimed Andreas upon arrival. « It’s always nice to win, and I think I will never forget my first victory in the Norwegian championship. It was a fantastic rally, held in very good conditions and in front of a large number of spectators. »
Definitely, Marcus Grönholm’s protégé continues to amaze…
