The organizers of the Jordan Rally, which will take place from April 24 to 27 for a historic first, have informed the FIA of the progress of their project.
Jordan will host such an event for the first time and has planned, jointly with the army and the Ministry of Housing and Public Works, the creation of a 50,000m² area to host the WRC as well as the Parc Fermé and service area.
This space, which includes several halls, will be completed by March 30 if everything continues to proceed smoothly. Everything will therefore be ready to host an event of such global magnitude in Jordan.
The Parc Fermé will be one of the most important places during the WRC weekend. That is why we have taken our time to first ensure that we have the best infrastructure and secondly to create facilities that meet WRC standards. Commented Prince Feisal Al Hussein, president of ‘Jordan Motorsport’ which manages and organizes the event.
The event was also coordinated to start only after the rainy season in Jordan. Everything was also planned to ensure not traveling more than 40 km around the Service Park.
