The Spanish team Campos Racing announced today its final line-up for the GP2 Asia. Ben Hanley has been confirmed and completes the second driver position alongside Vitaly Petrov.
Ben Haley, who announced earlier this week that he wanted to race at least once in Asia (See related article), will thus replace the Brazilian driver Diego Nunes, who raced during the first event two weeks ago in Dubai.
The new 22-year-old Campos driver also races for this team in the GP2 series championship and had issued a sort of ultimatum to his team by announcing his desire to participate in this championship at all costs in order to gain more experience.
« We are very happy with Nunes’ work, who has done nothing that would require him to leave his position, but there was a transfer opportunity, so everything was well coordinated, » stated Adrian Campos, the team’s director.
« In this way, we can start working with the drivers we will have throughout the entire season. »
Petrov, a driver in GP2 Asia, has also signed up for the GP2 Series, which will take place this summer.
