The Golden Motors Honda team officially announced its plans for the 2008 season in St. Petersburg (Russia).

The Russian team will make its first start in the Swedish Touring Car Championship (STCC) before continuing with the WTCC – World Touring Car Championship – and finishing with the FIA European Touring Car Cup (ETC), with two Honda Accord Euro Rs, built by JAS Motorsport and used by the Estonian team Artman Racing.

The two drivers of the team, Alexander Lvov and Andrey Smetsky, who finished first and second in the Russian Touring Car Championship in 2007, will make their debut in the STCC at Knutstorp.

Golden Motors, which had already participated in the last WTCC championship in Anderstop, planned to take part in five events of the 2008 calendar: Valencia, Brno, Oschesleben, Anderstorp, and Monza, before heading to Austria, at Salzburgring for the ETC Cup.
