« Since the time I’m in Champcar, the Newman team has been the most successful. With Bourdais leaving, the French champion has left me ‘very big shoes to fill.’ However, I’m not worried, I have big feet! » He jokes.

« Joking aside, I am very happy to be able to take over from the champions who came before me, and with all the team’s potential, there is no doubt that we will be serious contenders for the title in 2008. »

Carl Haas, one of the co-owners of the team, added: « Paul [Newman], Mike [Lanigan], and I are really thrilled with our lineup of Justin Wilson and Graham Rahal. The latter was really good last year for his first year with us, and he also has the potential to win races. »

« As for Justin [Wilson], he has always been one of Bourdais’ most serious competitors. I am therefore convinced that we can also count on him in 2008. » Concluded the American.
