The FIA executives and officials of the WTCC – World Touring Car Championship – have authorized thirty-minute private testing sessions on six occasions during the FIA WTCC season.
These sessions have been authorized to ensure that competitors have additional time to test and check their machines after they have been transported to championship rounds not held on European soil (Curitiba, Puebla, Okayama, and Macau) or upon returning to rounds in Europe (Valencia is the first European event of the season). This decision was also made to familiarize drivers with the new events on the calendar (Estoril and Okayama).
