Alex Tagliani, who was a driver for RuSport last season, is still looking for a seat in Champ Car for 2008.

The 35-year-old Canadian will be testing next week in Sebring (USA) with the PKV Racing team, with which he hopes to race this year alongside Oriol Servia, who is already confirmed.

« It would be a dream for me to be a driver for PKV in 2008, » he commented.

« The team is capable of winning the championship, and I think I can help them achieve that. We first need to have and conduct good tests at Sebring and see how things evolve from that point.

Tagliani finished his 2007 season in 10th position in the standings, just one place behind Neel Jani, a PKV driver last year. This is the reason that gives him hope, especially as the team seems to be under his spell: « Alex [Tagliani] consistently finished among the leaders this past season. The test we are going to conduct will allow us to see if he can integrate into the team and thus fill the vacant spot of second driver. » Concluded Mark Johnson, the director of PKV.
