The driver of the A1 Team Ireland in the A1GP championship, Adam Carroll, believes that his team has the means to secure several more podium finishes in the second half of the season.
The Irishman, also a GP2 driver, won one of the first races of the season last October in Brno (Czech Republic). Since then, the team has rested on its laurels and has not been on the podium again.
After the mid-season break, Carroll sees his team returning in top form and already envisions himself on the podium in Taupo, next weekend for the 6th round of the season in New Zealand.
« I hope we can make good progress in New Zealand and Australia to be able to step on the podium several more times, » commented the 25-year-old driver.
« Certainly, we are progressing step by step, but I have a very good feeling about our future. We worked hard during the offseason and we will, I hope, finally see our results prove it. »
Mark Gallagher, the director of the Ireland team added: « With Adam [Carroll] who has been in the team for three races and has gained some experience, I think we are on the right track. »
The next two rounds (New Zealand and Australia) will be crucial for the championship and we truly hope to have podiums.
