Button ignites since Brawn’s arrival!

The arrival of Ross Brawn as the new team principal of Honda Racing has played a key role in the re-motivation of Jenson Button. And for good reason, he is convinced that he can be world champion, stated team CEO Nick Fry.

Button has always been convinced that Honda Racing could recover from their rather disastrous 2007 campaign. However, Fry believes that Brawn’s appointment has brought with it a boost in motivation for the British driver. He now wants to surpass himself.

« Jenson is very loyal to the team, even before the announcement of Ross’s arrival, he was admirable, » said Fry to Autosport magazine.

« He is really part of the team, he’s someone I get along with extremely well, and he believes in our chances of winning.

« But there is a difference between believing and knowing. Before Ross arrived, we all believed that we could offer a car that would allow us to win the world championship. After Ross arrived, we knew that we could do it. »

« We have the resources, the car is at a high level. We have high-level people, the company’s infrastructure is absolutely first-rate. »

« It’s also very encouraging to have Ross by our side, who knows what a high-level team is. He came to us and was satisfied with what he found, » concluded Fry.
