Mike Conway has been officially announced with Trident Racing for the GP2 championship next season.
The Briton, who had a very difficult season with Super Nova in 2007, had requested to change teams. He will therefore be part of the Trident lineup during the upcoming tests at Le Castellet on the Paul Ricard circuit, on February 28 and 29.
The winner of the British F3 in 2006 confirmed: « We already signed my contract before Christmas and I am already certain to have all my plans set with Trident Racing… »
The team has extensive experience in GP2 and I believe we can potentially be on the podium every race weekend. Having finished my first season in GP2, I have gained experience, know all the tracks, and I think I have the necessary motivation!
« I truly believe that Trident has the ability to help me win the GP2 championship in 2008. They certainly have the means and the necessary tools. »
« I am eager to take part in my first tests as a 2008 driver. » Concluded the Briton.
Trident, only 10th in 2007, has officially signed Conway, but it still lacks one more identity to complete the 2008 lineup.
