Ferrari confirmed that their 2008 cars will be on track for the first time at their Fiorano test track on January 6th.
The new single-seater, an evolution of Kimi Räikkönen’s car which helped win the world championship this year, will be unveiled to the global press before the Jerez testing in Spain the following week.
Ferrari CEO Jean Todt revealed the launch date during a meeting with the Italian press in Maranello and made it clear that it would not be in January.
« I will not participate in the launch of our 2008 cars on January 6. The reason is simple: I will still be on vacation in Malaysia because I only return the next day, » he declared in the columns of the Gazzetta dello Sport.
