Sébastien Buemi was announced a few hours ago as a full-time driver for Arden International.
The young Swiss, runner-up in the 2007 Formula 3 Euroseries, reaches the GP2 championship thanks to Red Bull, the company that has sponsored him since the beginning, with Arden also being sponsored by the Red Bull.
Present in the Red Bull young drivers program, Buemi had already participated in tests last summer in GP2 for teams such as Art, Trident, and Arden. Christian Horner, co-director of Red Bull Racing in Formula 1 and Arden, also announced that the Swiss driver will participate in a Formula 1 test to potentially become a test driver in 2008.
Buemi has already represented his country with the A1 Team Switzerland in A1GP, in addition to being a driver for Art Grand Prix at the end of the 2007 GP2 season.
The official presentation of the Arden team with its 2008 drivers will be held this winter in Salzburg after the first interseason tests.
