Durango announces its lineup for 2008!

Durango, present in the GP2 series championship, has just officially announced its drivers for the 2008 season.

The Italian team is the first of the thirteen teams to announce its 2008 lineup, and it’s Alberto Valerio, 2007 winner in British F3, and Davide Valsecchi, driver in World Series by Renault, who have been promoted.

Tiyone Pintone, the director of the Durango Sport team commented: « Davide Valsecchi impressed me during the last tests carried out with us and I think we can do excellent work together in 2008, especially since he will be accompanied by Alberto [Valerio]. »

Valsecchi, a 20-year-old Italian, will also participate in the GP2 Asia series. “It’s an excellent opportunity to gain experience and show what I’m capable of. I will do my best to bring good results for the team,” he commented.

« I would also like to thank Durango for the trust they have placed in me. »

Alberto Valerio, a 22-year-old Brazilian, will only participate in the ‘classic’ GP2 series championship and will therefore have the primary goal of helping Durango progress in the standings, having finished only 9th in 2007 with 36 points.

The two previous drivers of the team, Garcia and Chandhock, have so far not shown any reaction.
