Jonathan Summerton has once again been chosen by A1 Team USA to represent his country in Zhuhai during the fourth round of the season, in China.
The American scored the first points for the United States in Malaysia with a tenth place in the endurance race last week, thus reviving hopes of having a better season than previous ones.
« We want to score points in both races – Sprint and endurance, – this weekend, » commented Summerton.
« It is a completely achievable goal for our team. We’ve been in the points 50% of the time since we’ve been together. Therefore, we want to do better with the seven events we have left. »
The United States is currently 19th in the championship: « We hope to achieve two podiums in Zhuhai, thus improving our position in the standings. »
Budy Rice, who represented the USA before Summerton’s arrival, will remain as the second or reserve driver in the pits.
