Mickael Ammermüller has been confirmed by the A1 Team Germany and will therefore participate in his second round of the 2007-2008 A1GP championship.
The young German, Red Bull Racing’s test driver in F1, had experienced a promising discovery weekend in A1GP in Malaysia three weeks ago despite having faced heavy penalties.
Germany had not scored any points during this third round of the season, but its director, Willy Webber, stated a few days ago that he wanted to do business with Ammermüller again.
« I only whetted my appetite in Malaysia… » Confirmed the German this morning. « The championship seems excellent to me, I enjoyed the races and had fun all weekend with the team. »
« In Zhuhai, I hope to achieve results as good as the last race, where I qualified on the second row. » concluded Ammermüller.
He is therefore preferred over Christian Vietoris, who had nonetheless a very successful 2006/2007 season, which allowed the German team to win the title.
