The new single-seater from the team responsible for defending its colors in 2008, the R28, will be on track for the first time during the three days of testing scheduled in Valencia, Spain, from January 22 to 24.
With the R28, the team hopes to bounce back after a fairly disappointing 2007 season. It is worth noting that this 2008 car will be driven in races by Fernando Alonso, returning to the team that made him a world champion, and by Nelson Piquet Junior, who has been a test driver for the French team until now.
It will be officially presented to the press at Renault Square Com, Renault’s communication headquarters, in Paris, on Thursday, January 31, 2008.
Renault is the third team to confirm the launch date of its 2008 single-seater, after Toyota set for January 10 and BMW for January 14.
