Nico Rosberg has just signed a new contract with Williams to continue racing with the British team at least until the end of 2009. It is a German newspaper that reveals this information on Sunday.

« That was supposed to be a secret, » he said in an amused tone.
« I am very happy to stay with the team for two more years.
The young German admits that he is very lucky to have been hired by the Williams team for his F1 debut. Rosberg has demonstrated his strong potential, and this contract extension is a sign that the collaboration between the two parties is fruitful.
The objective, after introducing the driver to the world of F1, is now to make him a great champion.
« I wanted to come to F1 at all costs. Williams made this dream a reality for me. Now the team has decided to give me a nice gift by extending my contract, and I accepted it, » declared Rosberg.
He added that the financial terms of his new contract have improved considerably.
This announcement puts an end to the rumors that the German driver was leaving for the other British team: McLaren-Mercedes.
