The FIA World Council validated the dates for the 2008 WTCC races on Friday in Monaco.

The series will begin in Curitiba, Brazil, on March 2 and will conclude in Macau on November 16.

The only change compared to the first project approved by the World Motor Sport Council last October concerns the event in Portugal, at Estoril, which has been postponed by a week, from July 6 to July 13, 2008.

The change was decided to avoid competition with the British Grand Prix of Formula 1, held on July 6, at Silverstone.
