Sébastien Loeb will be the most watched man this weekend in motorsport, which puts a certain pressure on him. However, the Frenchman only needs a 5th place to win a fourth world crown, which, according to him, is not very reassuring either.

Indeed, the Citroën C4 driver will prioritize caution this weekend in Great Britain for the season-closing rally. But according to him, being cautious is not always the right solution…

Normally, when I start, I want to go as fast as possible to chase victory, Loeb stated after the Shakedown. It’s not exactly the same here and it will surely be a very long rally for me…

« I know that fighting for victory from the position I’m in would be stupid, especially if I take all the risks only to lose everything afterward. » Continue le français.

Loeb will start first in the special stages tomorrow morning. He will open the track, which will increase the difficulty of his fight.

« I need to find and maintain a good rhythm this weekend, enough to trust my C4. The conditions were difficult during the Shakedown, there was a lot of mud, and many changes in grip, » added Loeb.

« Anything can happen, and I will have to be very careful. »

Sébastien Loeb missed the rally following his forearm injury last season. The Frenchman will therefore have to overcome a new challenge but remains confident: « I don’t think it will be a problem… the stages haven’t changed much in the past few years… »
