The latest rumors say that the event could be moved from Melbourne to the Flemington Racecourse after the expiration of the current contract scheduled for 2010, according to the state government of Victoria.
He asserts that significant losses were observed after this year’s race.
Webber, who had already requested for the race to remain in Melbourne, insisted once again. Proof that this Grand Prix in Melbourne means a lot to him.
« This model works here in Melbourne. I can’t imagine any other place, » he stated.
« We will need to put an enormous amount of funds into another race location, while here we are at the gates of a city that lives for this Grand Prix weekend, » the Australian concluded.
