Klien will be present at the Jerez tests with Force India

Christian Klien has been invited once again to participate in tests with the Force India team. It will be in Jerez at the beginning of December.

The former Red Bull driver and former Honda reserve driver was one of the drivers evaluated among several by Force India during private testing in Barcelona last week. He was the fastest, and the team therefore decided to place its trust in this driver once again.

« The times are close but it’s really nice to be the fastest after being absent from an F1 cockpit for so long and I’m really looking forward to participating in tests again here in Jerez, » Klien said.

I want to focus as much as possible on the work to help the team make the most of the car. I was particularly happy on my long trips and really impressed by the car’s reliability.

The Austrian had already taken part in tests for the team in July, when the team, then known as Spyker, was looking for a replacement for Christian Albers. Spyker had ultimately chosen Sakon Yamamoto. Klien remained with Honda in his role as a test driver until the end of the season.

Klien stated that he was impressed by Force India during last week’s tests and believed that he was of great help to the team.

« The team was magnificent, very professional and very motivated. I worked well with them. The comments I was able to make allowed us to bring improvements to the car over the two days, » concluded Klien.
