Toyota will officially announce the signing of Timo Glock at their annual Motorsports Festival event to be held next weekend in Fuji, reports autosport.com.

The Commission responsible for the validation of contracts (CRB) ruled that the German driver was free to leave BMW Sauber, which had employed him as a test driver until now.

The driver will therefore have his single-seater with Toyota and will replace Ralf Schumacher.

He is now likely to make his first appearance with the team at the Toyota Motorsport Festival on November 24 and 25, alongside Jarno Trulli, new test driver Kamui Kobayashi, and Williams driver Kazuki Nakajima.

The Toyota team will therefore allow Glock to make his grand return to F1, after a few brief appearances in 2004.

The 25-year-old German then spent a season in Champ Car before moving to GP2, where he ultimately won the title in 2007.
