The latest and wildest rumor claims that Ron Dennis would even allow Fernando to leave, but only to a mid-field team, meaning Williams or Red Bull.

When we know that the spot is already taken at Red Bull and Toro Rosso, we don’t see Fernando landing there, nor what these teams could offer McLaren in return.

On the other hand, when you know that McLaren is very interested in the German driver Nico Rosberg, an exchange with him would not be impossible. However, given Williams’ lack of loyalty towards its drivers, it is hard to believe that Alonso would go to this team where his well-being might not be much better than it currently is, compared to Renault where he is promised treatment worthy of a 5-star restaurant…
