Romain Grosjean joins Prema as a reserve driver
After four seasons as a main driver, the French driver joins the newcomer Prema as a reserve driver.
Romain Grosjean, a notable figure in IndyCar, has been named the reserve driver for the Prema team in IndyCar for the 2025 season.
After the 2024 season with Juncos Hollinger Racing, Grosjean did not secure a full-time seat for 2025, as several teams favored drivers bringing significant financial backing.
Prema, a renowned Italian team in European junior formulas, is making its debut in IndyCar this year with main drivers Robert Shwartzman and Callum Ilott.
In the role of reserve driver, Grosjean could be called upon to participate in certain races, especially if opportunities arise during the season or at specific events.
In parallel with this commitment, Grosjean continues his collaboration with Lamborghini in endurance racing. He is confirmed for the 24 Hours of Daytona, alongside Mirko Bortolotti, Daniil Kvyat, and Edoardo Mortara, and is expected to participate in other endurance races throughout the season.
The 2025 IndyCar season will begin on March 2nd in St. Petersburg.
