Sophia Flörsch will test an Indy NXT
The German will be in Barber, United States, this Monday, October 28 to take the wheel of an Indy NXT. In early November, she will also participate in Formula E tests.
Will she change her mind? Since the beginning of her career, Sophia Flörsch has only one idea. Making it to Formula 1. The 23-year-old woman is putting everything in place to make it happen. Even after her terrible accident in Macao, she returned to the highest level. And for two years, she secured a seat in Formula 3, after competing in other competitions.
After a complicated 2024 season, where she did not score any points, the member of the Alpine Academy is at the heart of several testing sessions. First, the French team indicated that she will be behind the wheel of a Formula E car in Valencia on November 7 for a day entirely dedicated to women.
Two girls already committed to Indy NXT
The driver also indicated that she will be behind the wheel at Barber, in the United States, this Monday, October 28, for a testing session with an Indy NXT. This will take place with the HMD Motorsports team.
If no announcement has yet been made about her future, Sophia Flörsch could continue her motorsport adventure on the other side of the Atlantic, in the feeder series to IndyCar. For now, no official announcement has been made yet.
The competition already welcomes a female known in the single-seater world: Jamie Chadwick, former member of the W Series. Lindsay Brewer and Taylor Ferns are also competing in this series.
Excited that I will be doing my 1st test in 🔥Indy NXT with @HMDMotorsports 👍🏻
