Frédéric Vasseur ready to work with Carlos Sainz again in the future

In four seasons, he has had ups and downs. Carlos Sainz has often thrilled the Tifosi, especially with his pole position in Monza last year. But the Spaniard has also disappointed them on several occasions.

The son of the two-time rally world champion has experienced several rough patches during these four seasons. He has often been overshadowed by his teammate, Charles Leclerc, who knows the team a little better.

But let’s not forget that he achieved his first successes and his first poles with the team with the prancing horse. It was also he who gave Ferrari its only victory during the 2023 season, monopolized by Red Bull and Max Verstappen. In Singapore, the Spaniard had tricked by deploying a bold strategy to win ahead of Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris.

A driver who knows how to remain professional.

Nearly a year after this event, Frederic Vasseur, the head of the Scuderia, took stock of his driver. The Frenchman also does not close the door to a new collaboration in the coming months.

Honestly, I have immense respect for Carlos and for what he has done for Ferrari. As you know, this decision (to part ways with him) was not easy. But he is doing a great job. He has managed to remain professional in these difficult circumstances. I see perfectly what he brings to the team, what he brought to the team last year, he announced at a press conference.

But before thinking about the distant future, we still need to focus on the near future. Carlos Sainz and Ferrari must defend their colors in the Temple of Speed. The pace shown by the red car with the number 55 was interesting and it could be a candidate for pole position.
