Guanyu Zhou to start from the pit lane in Austria
Having struggled throughout the weekend, the Chinese driver is trying to find solutions to the lack of performance in his single-seater. He received a penalty for breaking the Parc Fermé rule between Saturday and Sunday.
While he was supposed to start last in the Grand Prix, the Sauber driver was penalized for changing the settings of his car under Parc Fermé conditions. Condemned to start from the back of the grid anyway, he is not taking a huge risk.
From Barcelona he returned to his chassis from the beginning of the season: the new one, brought to Imola, was not beneficial for him. His teammate, Valtteri Bottas, also had a difficult qualifying session: he will start from 18th place on the grid.
Will the changes to Guanyu Zhou’s car prove to be paying off? Answer from 3pm for the start of the Grand Prix.
