Haas under investigation for non-compliant DRS opening
The two Haas cars could lose their 12th and 15th place in Monaco Grand Prix qualifying for a non-compliant rear wing.
They are at risk. After a very good first phase of qualifications, the two Haas drivers struggled more in Q2. In the end, Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hülkenberg were eliminated in 12th and 15th positions. Positions from which they could start this Sunday.
But for the moment, these results are not official. The two cars have been checked by the International Automobile Federation. In a statement, the stewards indicated that the opening of the DRS of the two cars was not compliant. A team representative has been summoned and will have to explain the situation.
The American team could be disqualified from the qualifiers. The two drivers could therefore start from the last line in Monaco. In 2021, in Brazil, Lewis Hamilton had been penalized in this way.
