Lando Norris pays tribute to Gil de Ferran
Pre-season testing got underway at the Sakhir track, providing the British driver with an opportunity to pay his last respects to the former driver who died suddenly on December 29 at the age of 56.
Lando Norris will take the wheel during the second part of this first day of testing at the Bahrain circuit.
For the occasion, McLaren’s protege will abandon his fluorescent yellow helmet to wear the helmet of the former sporting director of Woking between 2018 and 2021.
The design used will be that of the Brazilian driver’s victory at the 2003 Indianapolis 500.
