Sophia Flörsch continues Formula 3 adventure
The young German driver will be racing with the Dutch Van Amersfoort team for the forthcoming Formula 3 season.
She had announced it in Le Mans, last June: Sophia Flörsch had told us that she wanted to focus on single-seater championships rather than try again, soon, the endurance adventure.
She confirmed this desire in the last few days by signing a contract with the Dutch stable Van Amersfoort. « I am very excited to be back with Van Amersfoort Racing, it’s like I’m coming home. I have confidence in our ability to progress and achieve strong performances together in the upcoming FIA F3 season », rejoices the one who became the first woman to score points in F3.
The German will return, for the entire season, to the team with which she participated in the Macao Grand Prix this year. « We believe that her experience in FIA F3 and her familiarity with the team can benefit us next season », assures Frits van Amersfoort, director of the Van Amersfoort Racing team.
The Formula 3 season will start on February 29th in Bahrain.
