Red Bull has its eye on Lando Norris
Christian Horner has confirmed that he is closely monitoring Lando Norris's performances with the potential of hiring him for his team.
He’s the man in great shape right now. Since the British Grand Prix, Lando Norris has been performing miracles with his McLaren. The British driver has achieved four podium finishes: Silverstone, Hungary, Singapore, and Japan.
With these performances, many teams are keeping an eye on him. Especially Red Bull. The Austrian team, although reigning constructors’ champion, has to deal with one man who dominates every race, and another who is accumulating more and more mistakes.
Knowing that Sergio Perez is on the hot seat, Lando Norris could be dressed in blue, with the Red Bull logo, in the coming years.
« Lando [Norris] is a great driver, he is a great talent, a great personality, and of course he is one of the drivers we are keeping an eye on, Christian Horner told Sky Sports. « But there are many other drivers that we are also keeping an eye on. There is currently a new generation of drivers who have tremendous talent. »
But, we will have to wait until the end of 2025 for the Brit to join the ranks of Red Bull as he is under contract with McLaren until that date. He will also have to face some competition. With Liam Lawson’s progress, there could be a tough battle to become Max Verstappen’s teammate.
