Max Verstappen’s criticism towards those who underestimate his dominance in F1
The Dutchman believes that those who don't like to see him dominate the championship are not "true fans" of the sport. He believes that his consecutive winning record is not a bad thing for the sport.
A crazy series that came to an end. In Singapore, the Red Bulls were out of the running. And Carlos Sainz put an end to the winning streak of the Austrian team and the reigning double world champion. Some enjoyed this success. Firstly because the Grand Prix was exciting, but also because they saw a new face on the top of the podium.

For Max Verstappen, his domination in this Formula 1 season is not a bad thing. And this, even though Liberty Media, the owners of F1, believe that it could have consequences in terms of TV audiences during race weekends. They fear that the number of spectators will drop due to this domination.
« For me, it’s just that we were beaten, very clearly. I don’t think about what’s good for F1. I don’t think that what was happening [the number of consecutive wins by the Dutchman] was necessarily bad for F1, because we were simply better than everyone else. And if people can’t acknowledge that, then they’re not true fans », believes the Dutchman.
« That’s why I was also very relaxed about it, because we haven’t been performing well. Others have done better than us, so of course, they deserve to win. They shouldn’t win just because people say it’s boring to see us win. »
Sebastian Vettel understands the fans, but…
Sebastian Vettel, who experienced this situation between 2010 and 2013, understands the opinion of some people. For him, it can be boring to see the same driver always winning.
« I think therefore that this is part of the sport, but you have to be lucky to witness history being written. And what Max has accomplished this year is incredible.
