Kevin Magnussen will start from the pits in Zandvoort
Haas has changed all the engine components on Kevin Magnussen's car. In addition to exceeding the quota set by the FIA, this was done under Parc Fermé conditions. Therefore, he will start from the pit lane.
Even two hours before the departure, the grid can still change. The FIA has just announced that Haas has made numerous changes to Kevin Magnussen’s car. Therefore, for the Dutch Grand Prix, he will have a fifth engine, a new turbo, and a new MGU-H. This exceeds the quota of four elements set by the regulations for one season.
In addition to that, a third battery and a third electronic control unit have been installed on the Haas. Its gearbox has also been changed. Once again, it exceeds the limits set by the FIA.
If under normal circumstances, this would result in penalty positions, these modifications were made under Parc Fermé regulations. Therefore, the Danish driver will have to start from the pit lane.
